Do Not Tell Me How Many Days... and IPYPIASM Love

Christmas is hopefully going to start on Thursday here, but I have at least got the cards that need posting done. Somewhat cheered by the thought that shops will be open on Christmas Eve. Things are a little crazy here, without even being particularly Christmas crazy.

I was up in Glasgow on Thursday and, unwilling to drive out of the city at 4.30pm, went for a little wander instead. And look what George Square is up to!

Meanwhile, Peter Goulding is being rather nice here: http://stammeringpoet.blogspot.com/2011/12/grave-with-lights.html

But did it stop me? No. Non-competitive or not, I still make this the equaliser.

More IPYPIASM love here: http://hope-theroadlesstraveled.blogspot.com/2011/12/friday-55_15.html

Ha! Quite inspired as usual. But the equaliser? I think not, not even in an uncompetitive way...

George Square looks wonderful.
Reminds me of Tokyo at Christmas although Tokyo on any evening is covered with lights but at Christmas it is beyond Fabulous.
Love the IPYPLASM even if I am not a Lady Gaga fan. Yes I know I am he only non-fan in the world but I think like @Emerging Writer she would be delighted !
You are very clever.

cheers, parsnip

We call her "Lady Ga-Gar" a la "Miranda" (sitcom - Patricia Hodge mother character gets her name wrong).

parsnip: thank you! Have a brother and sister-in-law in Tokyo, so maybe, maybe, one year.

Rachel: Such fun!

just after copping what you meant in my blog earlier and have posted you up. You should tweet this at Miss gaga - she often retweets fans things - have no idea how it's done unfortunately, and yep, have seen peter's blog now too, but don't have time to post it, so level pegging it is for a little while.

Tweet?! Tweet!? Too modren for me, as my husband would say. I like level pegging though.

Who knew Mrs Goulding shopped so much?

You are really going a bundle on this posting poems idea aren't you.

Ah, I'm happy to relinquish the non-contest to you & Peter - I just will NEVER go into that many shops! Not to say I won't post again because I'm hooked on the adrenaline rush now.

Oh & I LOVE the lights - looks like a lot of fun if you haven't recently eaten too much...

Wow! I don't know how you and Peter find time to do anything else with all this poet sharing going on. :) Glad T1 and T2 enjoyed being the center of attention on Friday 55. ;)

The lights are an interesting change of pace to what I look at on my commute home. I fear one man is going to sap all the electricity for his entire block!

@angryparsnip: no, there are 2 of us non-Gaga fans. I think of her as Lady Gag Me. ;)

Weaver: I have to say the light relief is much needed right now.

Bug: ah, the adrenalin! Lucky it's only a once-a-year habit.
Boys much taken with the lights too. Somehow I managed to promise to take them before Sunday. On empty stomachs.

hope: ooh, I've very fond of over-the-top Christmas lights on houses!
Oh no, don't Gag Her.

Finally, you inspired me to hit Dublin City Centre.

"love in a post-modern way" Witheringly brilliant.

There is a tendency in the blogosphere to overuse the exclamation mark, so I won't.
