The omens...

...are not good.

Fiery skies last night.

And some Steely Dan.

And apologies all, blogger is not my friend at the moment. Can't even read comments, let alone add to them. Friday 13th indeed.

Oh dear - I shall never look at a fiery dawn and sunset in the same light again.

Rachel: I think blogger's playing up a bit - won't let me comment unless I'm on the laptop. Looks like it's displaying the post OK though. Which photos where?

Weaver: whoops, sorry!

parsnip: yay for a Dan Fan!

Very interesting video - wonder what it all means?

Your blog looks different, but the pictures are in the right places on my screen :)

And photos are scattered all over my screen...but Titus looks comfy.

Photos made me think of the old sailors' ditty, "Red sky at night, sailors' delight. Red sky at morning, sailors take warning."

Happy weekend!

I had a pretty lucky Friday the 13th yesterday - and that despite the fact that I went to a school that hands out numbered visitor badges and they gave me the "visitor 13" badge.

Hey just read your post- there is no 'Comment' at the bottom
of the page- strange. Anyway love your photo's.

Huurah for the split on top of the mountain, except it would leave the saltire on both sides surely. Typical misapprehension that the flag of Britain is the flag of England.

Thank you all. And look, pop-up comments work!

shug: photo courtesy of The Scotsman, as I recall. Typical misapprehensnion that SNP is seeking separation from England, and not the UK.

DTFP: I believe, by swapping to this comment form, I may have done the job. What's a browser?
